The peer teaching review process has been developed for all CHS faculty to collaboratively engage with one another, implement teaching improvements, and support continued professional development.
This peer process is intended to be a collaborative effort between pairs of faculty members. Reviews occur for immersion, ASU Sync, hybrid, and online courses. Faculty pairs focus their exploration on the reviewee’s course and discuss effective pedagogical practices. The faculty pairs discover strategies and methods that can be incorporated into and improve their courses. The benefits of the peer review process go well beyond the ideas generated for ongoing improvement of courses. Both reviewer and reviewee learn new ways of thinking and doing.
For both reviewer and reviewee, the peer review process offers reciprocal benefits through a mentoring process that can have long lasting benefits on both people in the partnership.
