Improving Graduation Rates

One of our most important responsibilities is to help our students succeed in college. That means staying in school, succeeding in school, and graduating. A recent commentary in the New York Times discusses the college dropout crisis.

Our graduation rates do not rank in the top 10% of the schools in the nation. And yet we make a promise to every parent who invests in their child’s education: “Your child will succeed at CHS”.

Graduation rates in our college as of May 29, 2019.

  • 4 year graduation rate (Fall 2014 cohort) is 46.7% which is 4.3% less than ASU as a whole;
  • 5 year graduate rate (Fall 2013 cohort) is 57.0% which is 6.4% less than ASU as a whole; and
  • 6 year graduation rate (Fall 2012 cohort) is 62.0% which is 5.7% less than ASU as a whole.

Faculty and staff had the opportunity to share ideas about how we can improve our graduation rates. These ideas will be used to develop strategies to improve graduate rates for the upcoming years.
