Grand Challenges: Creating health solutions for a better world

ASU’s College of Health Solutions aims to address some of the biggest, most difficult health challenges facing Arizona and beyond. Each Grand Challenge is huge in scope, takes advantage of our expertise in translational research, and requires transformative collaboration and innovation.

While our Grand Challenges affect multiple populations, we are particularly interested in making an impact by working with populations who have significant health disparities, such as veterans and people experiencing homelessness.

The College of Health Solutions will address the following Grand Challenges:

Impact on systems

Addressing the systems of health care and the health needs of populations.

Impact on individuals

Optimizing health and human performance of individuals across the lifespan.

Toward 2025 and beyond

We will now educate ourselves about these Grand Challenges, set measurable goals that will be attainable by 2025 and beyond, formulate implementation plans to accomplish these goals, and identify ways to measure our impact. Learn more about CHS goals and accomplishments.
