The following are a list of technology-related items that DO NOT require pre-approval from CHS IT. Below is our list of recommended vendors and brands and encourage end users to reach out to CHS IT for any questions before purchasing technology items.
Items that will not be approved by CHS IT for purchase:
This list will be reviewed periodically and subject to change. Please note that items purchased with research or discretionary funds are still considered property of the university.
All other technology purchases need to be approved by CHS IT Consulting. Please submit a ticket at http://links.asu.edu/chsit and someone on the team will assist with your technology purchase.
Any brand should suffice but please don't hesitate to ask CHS IT Consulting for assistance.
Any brand should suffice but Samsung is usually a good choice.
The College of Health Solutions Information Technology (CHS IT) provides $2,500 towards the purchase of computer equipment. Below are the standard configurations available.
CHS standardizes on Dell desktops and laptops with the following minimum configurations:
CHS also offers the choices below for Apple products. Anything beyond these specs (i.e., docking station for MacBook pro + dual monitors) will need to be purchased with start-up or research funds.
iPads and Android tablets are also available for purchase through the ASU Sun Devil Marketplace but are not part of the college budget and must be procured through other funds.
All devices need to be encrypted and managed by ASU (Windows = SCCM, Apple = JAMF) regardless of the funding.
