With the rapid pace of change of Windows Operating System (OS) updates, driver updates are needed more often (recommended to check monthly now). Dell has provided a utility called Dell Command Update which can be used to keep your Dell computer up-to-date. If you are having computer performance problems such as sound (speaker and/or microphone), mouse, keyboard, monitors, slowness, etc., it is recommended to try updating the Dell drivers.
Note: Dell Command Update only works on Dell computers. If you need driver help with any other computer (MacBook, Lenovo, etc.), please submit a ticket to CHS IT Consulting.
Ensure that all updates are selected and then select the blue Install button within Dell Command Update to download and install selected updates. Your computer may need to restart to complete some updates. If you do not check the box that says “Automatically restart system (when required).” you may be prompted to restart
Note: You will likely need to restart your computer for the installation to be completed. Please plan accordingly, close programs, and reboot before running Dell Command Update.
